Exclusive:Simunek is waiting for a chance after groin injury

In the summer Czech stopper Jan Simunek has changed his jersey from Wolfsburg to Kaiserslautern. He hasn’t scored yet, but he isn’t disappointed with the situation. He is recovering from recent groin surgery, and he likes the atmosphere in the club.
You have moved in summer to get more playing opportunities, but you haven’t completed it yet. Are you disappointed?
"I have to be realistic. I came to the club, where all same players have played last season, but I knew that I would be waiting some time for the chance. When it seemed that there might be a change,I have broken my groin. "
Did you have problem with the groin before?
"Well I can not say that i didn’t have problems before. For some time i could feel a stretch, but I thought that i was just tired. And then in September, just during a representative pause, while i was practicing my shooting, my left leg pricked. It looked for a while like a pulled abdominal muscle, but then I have found tear in the groin. And i had to have surgery. "
And because of that, he lost the opportunity to fight for the basic set of ...
"At that time I was actually very worried, I thought I could play. But i can’t do anything with that, that’s a football, and since then I try to be fit as soon as possible that I could possibly play. But i must not rush it and my coach also encourages me to be patient."
So, are you still not training fully?
"But basically yes, i am just avoiding some things."
Do you believe that you will play soon?
"I feel confident, I often speak with the coach, also the situation at the club is very fair, so I believe that the chance will come soon. I just have to be perfectly ready to be able to take advantage of any opportunity. "
The fact that you are not playing, you are missing the opportunity to think of the National Team. The coach Bilek has only a limited selection.
"I must be down to earth. I will think about the representation when I will regularly play at the club. Of course I would be glad in the National Team, but everything has time, now I mainly think about club duty.
